That is why we have asked an independent party, PricewaterhouseCoopers Accountants N.V., to audit our yearly Climate Compensation Programme Report.
How do you know we really do use relevant, accurate and complete data when we calculate your carbon emissions? That we really do take the whole life cycle of a product or service into consideration when we calculate your carbon footprint? Because our calculation methods are tested by independent research institutes with relevant expertise in every country the scheme is made available. In the Netherlands, for instance, we teamed up with research institute TNO to test and verify our calculation methods.
How can you be sure that the projects approved by The Climate Compensation Fund are effective according to the latest insights, expertise and criteria? Because we check that these projects have reliable certificates from reputable independent organisations. For example from SGS, which is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
