Liaoning Changtu Wind Farm Project
This involves the installation and operation of 66 wind turbines, each with a power output of 750 kW providing a total capacity of 49.5 MW. The main objective of the project is to generate power from a renewable source, wind mills, and to contribute to the sustainability of power generation in Northeast China. The project will reduce GHG emissions mainly through the displacement of coal-dominated power generation.
The project is located in Tieling City, northeast of Changtu County. Changtu County is situated in the north of the province of Liaoning and has a population of more than 1 million. The centre of this proposed project is located at a longitude of 124°10’ East and a latitude of 42°48’ North. Average altitude of the site is about 220-390m above mean sea level.
